New Term

As we are now well into the new term we are slowly getting used to our new building. It is all complete now and we are enjoying the extra facilities. We are all looking forward to the official opening and also we have a very special Centenary Exhibition on the same day. We hope that lots of people are able to come to have a look around. We now have a new school logo, we hope you like it. It was designed by three of our pupils.

Goodbye Year 6

It's the end of another academic year and once again there were tears as we said "Farewell" to our Year 6 pupils. They all worked really hard to get some fantastic results, as well as coping with the many changes our school has been through this year. We would like to wish them all the best and every success as they start at their new school.
We will all be having a well earned rest and look forward to the new year when we will be having an official opening of the new building and also a very special Centenary Exhibition.

Snowy Days

The weather has certainly been very different this term. We hope it didn't cause you too much inconvenience. We tried to stay open this week but the weather beat us yesterday. We are all back in school today and hopefully we can get back to a little bit like normality. Have a great day.

Fun at the Fete

A great time was had by all on Friday at the school Fete. There were things to do, things to buy and things to eat - yum ,yum. The Bar-B-Que looked delicious!! Many of the children were transformed into princesses, pirates and animals thanks to the face painting stall. They also enjoyed the inflatable slide and trying to guess where the treasure was, amongst many other things. Well done and thanks to everyone who helped, it was a really fun time!!

Cultural Diversity Evening

On Friday we celebrated the diversity of culture that we have in Goodmayes School. It was titled "The Spirit of Togetherness" and that is exactly what it was. Thanks to school staff, pupils and parents who all joined together to bring about a wonderful evening. There was food from all over the world and it was lovely to see pupils (past and present), parents and staff all performing songs, poems, and dances etc., from many of the countries that are represented in our school. It truly was a successful evening which culminated in the whole audience participating in a Salsa dance.

What's Happening?

So here we are, starting the second half of the Summer Term. Hopefully the weather will be good which will bring our spirits up and also help with all the things that are going on. It will be a busy half term, but that's all part of the fun. We can look forward to our Sports days and playing out in the sunshine. We have several events going on too. We will be having a Diversity concert this month and a music concert at the beginning of July. We will also have the pleasure of seeing our Year 5 and 6 production in July, this year they will be doing "Joseph", I hope it goes well.

Apart from all this the work to our building continues, as you can see, another week has made a lot of difference. If you would like to see more, there will be a link onto the "Redbridge i" very soon.
